- Rivian Sarenno: An apprentice make of golems under Envara Meri in Sentra, who also spent a significant amount of time at the Academy of Rosiva learning magic. He is currently acting as a mage with the Eristhenian embassy to Musai.
- Kirai Novares: Daughter of the Lord of Westfall and heir to his lands. She went to Musai as the assistant to Lord Varesan, Eristhenia's ambassador to Musai.
Merinha:
- Livia Marchani: A Peacekeeper of Merinha, currently assigned to protect Merinha's ambassador in Musai. She keeps a secret related to her brother, Kalven.
- Kalven Marchani: Livia's older brother, an unbound mage exiled to Musai. He wanders the country as a messenger. In the south, he encountered a village completely depopulated by a mysterious plague.
Musai:
- Sarron Verai: Commander of the Ninth Division of the Musaian Army, which is made up of roughly half archers and half pikemen. He has been stationed in Leana and ordered to support the northern border, which confuses him.
- Talan Nanaira: Heir to the city of Leana. He's recently started learning about his responsibilities as the future Lord of Leana, but he prefers athletic pursuits like racing and archery. He's on his way to Saitome to meet the Eristhenians.
